November 26, 2009 · Filed Under Back Pain

Spine pain is no joke; we all know that the spine runs down our backs and controls the movement of our legs, arms and everything else. When you experience back pain you already know that it is one of the most uncomfortable and aggravating pains that you can experience. No one ever wants to have to worry about damaging their backs or having to worry about having back problems.

However the truth is that this problem affects both men and women alike. We are not prone to back problems regardless of what we like to believe. In fact research shows that almost every man and woman has experienced some type of back problem in their lives. Chances are if you have not yet experienced this uncomfortable pain then most likely you will later on in life.

Many of us do not even think about back or spine pain until it affects us. After all if we can move, sit and jump around why should we even think about it? The truth is that we should all be concerned with this issue; it is a growing condition that seems to affect more people than we like to admit. Once we start to have pain; then we begin to try to find all kinds of answers and hopefully treatment. However the back and the spine can be one of the most difficult conditions to treat.

There can be several reasons that you are experiencing spine pain and they could differ from:

1. The disc space could be the reason that you are experiencing pain

2. The large nerve roots that run to and from the legs and arms could be irritated

3. The spine has several smaller nerves that innervate the spine and they could be irritated

4. You could have injured the bones, ligaments or the joints

I could go on and on about why you are experiencing spine pain; however one of the best things to do is to visit your physician so that they can take an examination of you to see if they can discover what the problem is and how to address it so you can live without pain. Click here
