The human shoulder joint

Shoulder pain is another common problem that many people experience at one point or another in their lives. This is another problem that if you have never experienced it then you would have absolutely no idea how uncomfortable the pain can be.

You may be wondering what are some of the causes of shoulder pain and what can I do to avoid it?

Rotator Cuff Tear: This is one of the most common shoulder pain problems and when this occurs it means that the tendons of the rotator cuff have separated from the bone. When this occurs it almost always requires surgery to repair. I have personally had this type of surgery and while the process is quick the recovery time is not as quick.

Frozen Shoulder: when one experiences this condition then they notice that the joint becomes very stiff; another known name for this type of shoulder pain is called
“adhesive capsuliitis.” One of the best ways to get rid of this type of problem is to begin a physical therapy session and to begin stretching exercises.

Shoulder Instability: When someone experiences a traumatic accident or injury they may cause the joint to become lose.

Shoulder Dislocation: This can be painful and occurs when the arm bone becomes disconnected from the scapula. We have all seen a movie where they have to pop it back into place. It is a lot more painful than they make it look.

You could also find several other reasons that you could be experiencing shoulder pain. Your main concern is how to treat it. The treatment is going to vary depending on the type of pain that you are experiencing. However you can begin by giving your body the rest that it needs and of course you should also begin using ice and heat as a way to bring relief to your shoulder.

If possible and it is not too uncomfortable you should begin stretching the muscles and the tendons that surround the joint that are responsible for the pain. If you have no idea what type of exercises to begin doing then you can easily find some suggestions by Clicking Here
